Damn, I had it under control for the longest time. This week it hit hard though. I have no clue what's going wrong. I am taking today off though. Just relaxing. Maybe it's stress I don't know. Just 2 weeks ago my skin was fairly clear. Now it's f'd... what just happened? Maybe it's my beginning use of Blue Light Therapy??? It says it will make it worse at first then make it get better... could this be why?

Dude, I know all this stuff. I had my acne basically clear without using any products. Just washing my face in the morning and at night with some good old fashioned water. The way I keep my skin clear is by eating healthy. I eliminated hydrogenated oils from my diet a while back and have been drinking half my body weight in onces for my water intake. Even more if I am involved in a very hard exercise.

I do all this right and it worked for the longest time. I would get a pimple here and there. But just this passed week hell has broken loose out of nowhere.

Now since it is Saturday I am detoxing and that usually helps but I just don't know why my acne randomly flared up.

By the way, I don't drink soda, I don't eat sugary foods. I eat straight healthy. That's why I am so confused about this random flare up.

Its the hormones definitely. Girls normally have flares up just before their period. But recently I read somewhere that guys also have cycles as well. Acne is caused by an increased in male hormones the androgen so this is probabaly the reason.

Seems like you have done everything you could. Just continue your regimen and see whether you still have breakouts. Make sure you wash your face with a mild cleanser not a harsh one. Apply pimple cream to the pimples try the 2.5% benzoyl peroxide.

It doesn't mean that you leave out oils means that you are eating healthy. Your diet could be deficient in something that may cause the breakout. Make sure your diet is rich in Vitamin A, C, E and omega-3 which is important for skin. Recently Vitamin B5 has also been added to the list.

If all else fails and your acne is still very bad, it is time to see a dermatologist. The pills and medications do work but you may have to take them long term to suppress the acne as it is not a cure and acne is a chronic disease. However the pills are not miracles and you won’t see results in 2-3 days. It normally takes about 2 weeks to see the difference. However not all dermatologists prescribe pills unless your acne is really bad. The pills will include antibiotics, accutane and contraceptives. If your acne isn’t that bad, dermatologists will prescribe topical creams first. If you are really going to a dermatologist, I suggest asking about a product known as Retin-A that treats acne and acne marks and heals the scars.

First, I hope you are under the care of a good dermatologist.
Second, I hope you are cleansing your face several times a day - gently - no rubbing. Try cetaphil or Aveeno. Cleansers without harsh soap.

Stress doesn't help -- what does help is diet and drink 6-8 glasses of water - not coke or coffee. Regarding the diet, check with your doctor as what is best for you.
