Why do you think of that Christians could shun people who do artwork on Sunday? First and basically commandment interior the hot testomony is love. So others do no longer shop on with the Christians techniques, that doesn't propose that a Christian shouldn't bypass out and have a reliable time to issues that are open. who's to assert that eating place did no longer open until finally after Sunday's church had ended? And via the way, it substitute into Jesus himself that worked on Sundays, it substitute into guy on my own that refrained from him for it. His first commandment i will say as quickly as back is Love. He did a provider and healed on Sunday.. a Sabbath day. So once you're calling down Christians for going to a place of artwork on a Sunday, you 're additionally calling down Jesus.

God didn't say rest on Sunday or Saturday. He just said rest on the seventh day. So, you work Wed thru Mon, rest on Tues. The commandment was to keep it Holy, which is why most people probably worship on that day. Since I work in 911, I can't have every Sunday off so I worship when I can and keep the Sabbath on my seventh day whenever that may be.
I try to catch a study group when I can b/c I think fellowship is important, and like I said I miss out on that on Sunday. So please try to be grateful you get to keep at least what should be the easiest commandment to keep.
After all, Christ did die a most horrible agonizing tortuous death for you, the least you can do is get up at 7am on one day of the week to say thanks without complaint. Sheesh!

The idea is to rest from "all your labors", which has been interpreted to mean resting from your job. If people worked 7 days a week, they would get burned out. So, on the sabbath -- whether it is Saturday or Sunday -- we are to rest from our usual work.
Many people say that they work harder on Sunday than the other days. The difference is, this is a different type of work.
I used to take 4 children to Church on Sundays, and I would get home exhausted! I would want to take a nap for 2 hours, but had to get the kids their lunch, and clean up, and do all the other things that need to be done -- even on Sunday!

Just Curious,
This question is dealing with those who had jobs. Those who really follow that the Sabbath is to be a day of rest, believe that they should not have to work at their job, and also they should not have to do any housework. It has nothing to do with going or not going to church. The Scriptures specifically state that we are not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together in fellowship with other Christians.

people started to developed religion to explain what they could not understand. what makes Christianity better or different than any other religion that has existed. i bet that if you went back in time and told the Greeks that there was no Zeus or Poseidon they would think you were crazy. All religions will eventually come to an end. i would just think that by now as smart as we are that religion would be extinct. science is the only. people just cant come to terms that there is no after life.

My grandmother said, "There is no rest for the wicked, and the righteous don't need it." She is 95, and still working, even on sunday.
