Check out the local trainers and find someone reputable then take your dog to Basic Obedience.
In the meantime, you can try my favorite exercise. Doorway ettiquette is a necessary component for obtaining the respect of your dog. No dog should ever preceed a person through a narrow passageway like a doorway, especially if the person wants to be in control of the dog and not the other way around.
Go to the door with your dog on the leash and make him/her sit then open the door. If the dog tries to get out first bring them back in and put them back in the sit. Do this as many times as you have to to make him/her stay behind you. Once they are holding their postition, step across the threshold and say 'let's go' to make your dog follow you. If he/she tries to break and get out ahead of you bring him back again and do it all again. You also want to do it coming back through the doorway. Just because he might have to obey going through one way doesn't mean that he will automatically do it the other way. Do it at every door that you come to. If you are consistent the dog will start doing it properly within a couple of days.
Once you've got it down pat, you'll be surprised at the change in your dog's behavior.

number one you don't MAKE a dog obedient. If you try to train him out of fear, you will get a very unstable dog. Start with basic dog classes. Park districts, petstores any where.

My Border collie, Stella is truly obedient. She's a 365 days previous and is my first canines and that i have were given been education her myself. so some distance, ordinary success. She heels thoroughly when I've in elementary words exercised her, now no longer so tremendous at the same time as i have not. Stella knows down, sit, shake, extreme 5, provide, stay, drop it, escuchen (es-COO-chen, some project from Spanish type that's now no longer in all likelihood Spanish, and it type of appears like 'scoot', it truly is what I say at the same time as i would like her to flow), outside and interior. She has the important hassle with stay and drop it. I in elementary words knowledgeable her to carry me a tissue from the field and he or she or he got here upon it in a unmarried day! Now i should be even lazier. regrettably, i ought to favor to throw it out. i ought to favor to coach her that.
