Can someone please tell me how to turn on system restore?

I have went into ststem restore an the option to turn it on wont work when i click on it. I even tryed to go to msconfig to turn it on to no avail.

Click Start, then point cursor to All Programs, Accessories, System Tools then click system restore. At middle left of the System Restore screen, click System Restore Settings. Under the System Restore tab, make sure there is no check on the box "Turn of System Restore". That should do it.

Right click on My Computer then click on properties. When that window opens up click on System Restore tab at the top left. When that opens up make sure the box is not checked "turn off system restore".
