First of all, it isnt his Islam, but the religion chosen by God Almighty. SEcond, he didnt take over anything. He preached Islam, and people fought against him. When he had sizeable amount of converts he fought back.
To show you, he even made a treaty with them for ten years, no one would fight the other. However the pagans went back on the treaty and attacked after 2 years, therefore breaking the peace the two had between each other.
So think about it, for 10 years, there could have been peace between the two, but the pagans didnt follow through with it.
However in the end, the pagans converted to Islam, all of them, so their acceptance of Islam is what happened.

Mohammed peace be upon him didn't take over....the ppl came to follow his ways...He did and the ppl followed...if Mohammed pbuh never was i think they would have followed to other religions or stayed the same

I wouldn't know but I believe God work in everyone you do not have to be christian for God to show you the light
