Dear afrowoman,

i'm not exactly sure what the real question you are asking is. Because i'm not sure you would ask this question of anyone else. It's like if someone worked at a supermarket (let's say Albertson's) than are we saying since Albertsons gives someone a paycheck that the manager or Joe Albertson should be allowed to come over for breakfast.

That being said- i think most preachers love to be in the company of their congregation. I am a youth/college pastor and i do need my moments to myself- but if any of my youth or college kids came to visit me (meal time or not) they would always be welcome in my house with open arms.

Hope that helps. Kindly,

Nickster

When Paul preached they "congregation" broke bread and never stoop to think about time they just wanted to hear the word. So he broke bread together and learn so much May be
that is what could happen at the "preacher's" table.

No.

The congregation gives the bread to the preacher and the family for them ALONE to enjoy.

If they had intended it for themselves, they would never have given it.

When you read the Bible, you get things like, "allow the ox to graze as it's eating". Your question makes it sound like you're allowed to follow the ox around and take the grain right out of its mouth and have it for yourself.

Only if invited. Once something is given to someone else, it is not the givers anymore and the giver should have no expectations of sharing in it anymore.
