I've heard that whatever you dream about, it usually means the opposite in reality. That's about all the help I can offer.

I was a frequent fl-yer until a couple of years ago and now I go on a plane only to go on holiday. My thinking was that if one flies as often as I did then the chances of me being involved in a fatal crash was more likely. To me that was logical. Of course planes do crash from time to time, it is still a rare occurrence it is the safest form of travel. Your dream as a survivor is common so you are not alone. You need to analyse your life and any changes in any department that has happen recently for maybe there is a connection.. I am imagining that you are not loosing too much sleep over this and able to get on with your life outside of the dream as you are not saying it was/ nightmares you are experiencing. I would say relax, discuss issues you have or anxieties during the day and hopefully your mind will be clear when you need to sleep. best wishes maureen.

Dreaming of crashing generally means some sort of instability in your life stream. Perhaps you are worried about your job or your love mate? Perhaps debt is causing you stress?
Pay off your debt, own your home, rediscover or find your real soul mate, stabilize the income, and be happy; those dreams of crashing will vanish.
You have a basic, primitive concern about your well-being. Shore that up and you will be fine.

Almost all dreams the average person has are nothing more than your brain doing a little house keeping. Something you saw or heard may be bothering you, even subconsciously, and your mind clears it out of the way with dreams. Continually dreaming of the same subject may indicate a fixation on the subject, again even subconsciously. So they taught in psych 101 many moons ago.

I too used to dream of airplane crashes frequently. Oftentimes, it would be one or two days before an actual disaster of such were on the news. So, I used to think they were premonitions. I still sometimes dream about them - but I have no real answer for you. I'm a retired flight attendant, so I guess they weren't foretelling my death !!

Airplane Crash
To dream that a plane crashes, suggests that you have set overly high and unrealistic goals for yourself. Your goals may be too high and are impossible to realize. You are in danger of having it come crashing down. Alternatively, your lack of confidence, self-defeating attitude and self-doubt toward the goals you have set for yourself is represented by the crashing airplane; you do not believe in your ability to attain those goals. Loss of power and uncertainty in achieving your goals are also signified.
