Sometimes they say that just to get away or are they really going to call?

Nope.
We call when we're darned good and ready. Sometimes, that's ten minutes later, sometimes, it's ten years.

Both. Sometimes they say it because they are too cowardly to be honest and say they aren't interested...sometimes they say it and intend to call, but just don't end up doing so...sometimes they say it and do call.
My advice is, if a guy tells you he's going to call...believe it when you answer the phone and his voice is on the other end.

The question you need to ask and answer is, "Did I sleep with that guy?"
If the answer is Yes, then you will never hear from him again.
If the answer is No, then you better expect all kinds of calls, messages, texts, and any other type of electronic harassment that is possible.

I'm a guy & some chicks have called me first, some I've called first, & some didn't even make it to the exchanging info part.
