You can bring back as many goods as you like if they are for personal use and not being brought back for commercial reason. You will have to convince Customs of this so don't birng back too many expensive gifts. You are allowed to bring back up to £145 worth of gifts free of UK duty - anymore than this and you will have to pay UK duty on all the gifts you bring back.

You get a duty free allowance as America is out with the European Union.
