First of all God loves everybody faults and all. Second of all I am real sure you don't know who is or isn't going to hell. Third of all, my Uncle is gay and I don't mind in the slightest if they see him, as matter fact I would be crushed if they didn't get to see him. We are all together with the family almost every weekend.
But, I will tell you there is a difference between having my young children get to know their Uncle (who they know is gay) and having them meet any of his partners. When they are older and understand more on the subject and I can speak more frankly about the subject with them and answer their questions honestly--then I will have no problem with it. Believe me kids know when you are b-s-ing them.
Is that what really happened? I can't believe that just because you are gay they wouldn't want you around. Most rational people don' t believe that gay cooties jump off and make their children gay. They don't want to have to explain any of your (possible) actions just yet. Also, they probably don't want their children to think they approve of the POSSIBLE lifestyle often associated with the gay community. Which they may think they are endorsing if they include you in their family life.

while i don't agree with the sexuality of some people, i would never be mean, or let that child feel uncomfortable, or keep my child away from them. God doesn't want that. we are supposed to love one another reguardless of sexual orientation. some people are cruel, and that includes people who call themselves Christian. don't worry about those people..let God handle it. he said "let vengence be mine" all you can do is just pray that God will give those people wisdom, and understand that God does not condone that. you would think that they would realize that your actions whatever they may be could turn people away from God. people see these so called Christians doing stuff like you mentioned and think " Well they are no better than anyone else, so if that's what God's teaching's are all about, then i don't want any part of it" i'm sorry that your child is going through this.. and i just want to say that when children first come out with things like this, you have to understand that they are going through a lot. and those children need our support whether you agree with it or not. and we need to leave judgment in the hands of someone who is FAR more capable of it than we are. be friendly to all who cross your path even if they aren't so nice to you. that is their problem, not yours. God will handle it in his own way....OUR job is to bring people to God, not turn them away.

Because they haven't learned how to hate the sin and love the people involved. I apologize for them...I have two homosexual friends and I don't agree with their lifestyle but that doesn't stop me from being their friend.

I remember hearing someone say that if Jesus came back to Earth now and saw the things being done in his name, he'd never stop puking.

Edit:

To the misinformed person below me: Gay people ARE normal.

properly it really is not incorrect notwithstanding it may carry human beings decrease back from experiencing many elements of life. human beings want to provide which ability to issues they do and infrequently tie it to "God". Theists imagine each little thing takes position for a reason or with out "God" you attain no longer some thing. it really is unfavorable because human beings do not want to adventure some exhilaration as exhilaration alongside. An celebration is sex. Theists imagine sex should be sanctioned by technique of "God" to be sturdy. extremely one does no longer want an approval of "God" to savour sexuality. It helps theists because it provides which ability to what they do. it really is like little ones trust Santa Clause gave them supplies for being sturdy. similar project with "God". "God" will reward you for doing sturdy and stick to his regulations. even notwithstanding it can make someone hypocritical also as you've said.

This is one of the saddest things I have heard in a long time.

Some people's blind, ignorant bigotry is beyond understanding.

*hugs*

That would be a "good for nothing Christian" that wants to make their own decisions about raising their own kids. Just get your own darn kids.

I'm sorry for your pain. This is a pain-filled, sinful world. Your family members are just trying to protect the kids and that's the only way they know how.

you know my opinion....those who "use" religion to justify their bigotry and hatred (and abuse/assault and even kill people who are "different") are far worse sinners than they claim that we are. they are the ones who will be surprised when their own judgment day comes.....I hope they pack their 100 SPF sunblock...gonna be awfully hot where they're going!!
