hi well my aunt helps people who are in emotional pain from a loss or grief and she asked me if i could compile a cd with music that would fit for the healing process.
anyways what she wants is to have a kid of "new age" music with soft instruments like chimes, harps, piano but no guitars or rock music stuff, she would love to have a choir-like song with women singing but have no english words to distract people from the music with the exception of chants, she wants it to be basically angelic; the kind of music you'd hear in heaven i guess and be kind of heart lifting, with positive energy.
so anyways can you help me with this becuz im not really sure what kind of music to get for her. any help is greatly, greatly appreciated.

I think that's really fabulous what your aunt does! I have a lot of *nature* CD's- and you can find them in good music stores. They have all kinds, new age, women singing (like Enya) and look for "relaxation nature" music too. There are tons of CD's with harps and the choir like sound you are looking for. Check Amazon.com and type in the sort of music you are looking for, and maybe you will get some hits. Good luck and bless your aunt for her good works!

loreena mckennett. First class lyrics, vocals, and instrumentation. Another option is a song that is fully presented by a group called "praise". This song is at the very end of the awesome surf movie, "in god's hands", and is titled "Its a Brand New Day." This is a great song, with chanting, great instrumentation and celestial female vocalist.

Check out Yo Yo Ma (the real one) for cello... he's got some good stuff... then there's always Kitaro, his best is his "My Best" CD but most of his stuff is very new agey and smooth. Try Tibetan Tantric Chant, or Buddhist Chant by Tibetan or Chinese nuns... that's always nice to listen to. Snowlionpub.com is a good website to check out for the Buddhist stuff, EWTN might have some good music... oh! Leafletonline.com is a Catholic catalog of stuff, they always have good music if you're in the Catholic mood... Gregorian Chant is soothing... check it out.

I wish your aunt ease from her suffering.

I believe your looking for "Mantras" which is used in 'Reiki Healing' treatments.

Lovely !!!!

Or look under "Native American Indian" music, I love all that too.
