"Your just so caught up in your religion you don't think about our feelings!" Oh that's rich, coming from a Mormon. Don't you guys go around telling everyone that your church is the "only true church of Jesus". You have no problem telling everyone else that unless you convert to the LDS church you will not be in the Celestial Kingdom with Jesus and Heavenly Father. Your people do a really good job of dishing it out but the first time someone says anything about your doctrines not matching up with the Bible, you play the victim.
What the others said above is TRUE, with the exception for the Garden of Eden being in Salt Lake. You do believe, practice, and preach things that are not Christian. Get Over It and Stop Being Big Babies, either get out of the sandbox or suck it up take it like the rest of us do, who aren't LDS.

I don't hate Mormons. I love them. But seriously, you can't claim that Mormons don't believe in some weird things. Each person becomes a god and gets their own planet? The native Americans are a lost tribe of Israel? Some dude discovered lost golden plates with reformed Egyptian hieroglyphics, and somehow knew what they said - which ended up sounding a lot like something that a guy from the 1800's might have said? Holy underwear?
You're cool people, but you do have some strange beliefs. But so does every religion. So I'm not singling you out. Just trying to make a point.

Personally, I don't like anyone who feels the need to knock on my door and interrupt my day by wanting to talk to me about their religion. This goes for Jehovah's Witnesses, too. It would be different if I lived in the middle of nowhere, and didn't have reasonable access to television, phone, a vehicle, and the internet -- I could use all four to contact someone if I were really interested in learning about religion.
I view all the beliefs you listed as being silly and absurd, but there are two things you didn't mention that really makes me shake my head ... one is these "golden plates" that Joseph Smith supposedly found in the 1800's, but for some reason the original plates are nowhere to be found. We have artifacts dating back much later then the 1800's, and considering that these plates were the first copy of The Book of Mormon, it would only make sense that they would have been kept as sacred objects. Secondly, if Jesus Christ had really visited the indigenous peoples of the Americas, why is there no proof? Native people often drew out their beliefs and events in their lives, but there is nothing that we can connect to a visit from the resurrected Jesus. To overlook these things suggests gullibility I personally wouldn't admit to.

Although I am no expert on your religion, I am pretty sure that most people do not like Mormons because the foundation of the religion, or lack of knowledge.
However, the fact that one man, and his scribe, are the only known wittnesess to the beginning of an entire religion, seems a little far fetched. I will not say that Christianity is a perfect religion, nor any other is, but the facts are quite unusual in that there is absolutely no evidence that this man was visited by the Angel Gabriel, or received the Golden Book.
Please understand, I am not judging your religion, just stating facts.

Quite a few reasons actually. Its mainly because Mormons think that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are separate when They are not. You all view them as distinct beings, as individual beings which violate many Biblical passages dealing with polytheism. Second, you believe Christ came to America. Nowhere in the Bible does it mention Christ going to America. Third, you all believe Joseh Smith is prophet. The Mormons believe in many crazy things because of the Book of Mormon.

I Love the Mormon people. I don't agree with the doctrines. I know you believe in god.
I left the Mormon church because I felt trap. When I was sixteen years old in Seminary Class.
Joseph Smith funeral was recreated. I put of by this. I wanted to talk about MY Jesus Christ. Not a man. When comes down to it are you going to believe Joseph Smith or Jesus Christ.
I choose Jesus Christ. my hero. Not Joesph Smith. I'm free to love God.
I love Mormons two. I just don't agree with church

All people do not dislike Mormons. Just as all people do not hate blacks, and all people do not hate a certain entertainer maybe. You could apply that statement to any group of people. Since religion has such deep spiritual ties for most, therefore does generate much hostility between some members with different beliefs.

1) You believe they are seperate entities who work together rather than a single entity.
2) We do not believe we will be eternally punished for Adams transgression, nor do we believe we are being punished, rather we are living with the consequences of his decision
3) You also believe that we need to believe that Joseph Smith is a true prophet of God in order to reach the highest plain of heaven
5) and 5 a testimony for Jospeh Smith as a true prophet
~ that's where the problem is, you don't give the whole story.
I don't dislike Mormons, I dislike their religion.

You also believe that Jesus and Satan are brothers and that you can be baptized for the dead, both of which are NOT in the Bible, nor your precious book of mormon.
You also believe that if you leave the LDS cult God will forsake you. You also believe that you don't know if you're really saved, until you die and face Jesus.
You also believe that blacks are cursed, now PC of you!! You believe that you can become Gods, that is the men is. Oh and God was never a man, He's always been a spirit.
So sad that you don't know your own religion.
Oh, and I got my info from the horses' mouth, a former LDS.

I don't dislike them. I am Catholic. I have a friend in a nursing home that I have power of attorney over and she is a Mormon. I don't believe like the Mormons do.
I would vote for a Mormon if I think he is qualified and has the character to do the job.
I think right now because a Mormon has thrown his hat in the ring, you will have to suffer a lot of flak.
