I asked this before, but majority answers were just people attacking and criticizing me.

Atheist, what do you have to gain by not believing in God? Again, real answers please

ATHIESM means No God-it is total farce-to prove there is no God they would have to be God and be everywhere at once to prove that here was no God.

when you make a lie you have to cover your lie -what are the options

John 3 repented and born again as Jesus says to do=now God is my best friend Jesus is more wonderfull every day - HE COULD NOT HAVE COME INTO MY HEART OR MILLIONS OR OTHERS IF NOT GOD!

A lady Said SHE GAINS FREEDOM WOW -to reject God is bondage of life mind and forever in hell to -where is the freedom in that-freedom to be your own god-to make your own rules -to kill or to be selfish or to hate & GO TO HELL-where is the freedom in that????

who ever loved and cared for you like God--Jesus came from heaven to die for you!

THE QUESTION IS WHY DO YOU COP OUT? Jesus was a CURSE WORD TO ME AS A JEW I WAS TAUGHT TO REJECT HIM AS GOD AND AS MESSIAH -NOW HE IS MY BEST FRIEND, MESSIAH AND SAVIOR along with millions of others that have let God into their heart too.

WHAT DO YOU GAIN BY SAYING YOUR GOD AND THAT YOU HAVE LOOKED EVERYWERE PHYSICALLY AND SPIRITUALLY TO PROVE THAT THERE IS NO GOD?

ISAIAH PREDICTED PERFECTLY 700 BCE "UNTO US a child will be born, a Son given, and he will be almighty God and the prince of peace." Isaiah 9:6 and it was not thrown in by Jewish people-who reject Isaiah yet still claim to be Jewish and that Jesus isnt the Messiah and the Messiah isnt God.

are you willing to believe???

I'm a believer, so you didn't ask me, but if you don't mind my two cents, because I've given this a lot of thought.

In the modern world, where anything goes (from dress code to music lyrics, TV-movie-advertising content), there is so much pleasure/stimulation available that by contrast a religious life looks very drab and dull. It is not possible to follow Christ and go around half naked.

In young people, there is the fear that if they don't conform, their friends may reject them. They have no idea how painful the rejection of G-d will be.

In older people, our culture teaches individuality, which means control of your destiny and decision-making. It goes against our culture to (a) search your heart for sin, (b) repent, and (c) give up control over your life.

Well it's not a cop out to have beliefs and stand up for them is it? I didn't think so. You aren't "copping out" by saying your beliefs.

Thousands of people used to believe in slavery. Thousands believed in the Roman gods/goddesses. Millions of people have believed in Hinduism. Yet the "everyone else has done it" argument didn't work on you to make you chose either of them.

Atheism means Belief in no god. It has nothing to do with proving there is not just like your religion has nothing to do with proving there is!

You argue he could not have come into your heart if he wasn't real. But you don't argue that that for all the other hundreds of religions currently being practiced. If the rebuttal had been, "summerland could not be where I want to spend eternity if it was not real" you would consider that a stupid reply, right? But that uses the exact same logic (and sentence structure) you have used. B/c I believe it must be real, is not a logical argument. For what if I believe differently? B/c I believe, it must be real--but you say differently. Does it only mean if YOU believe it, but ignores whatever anyone else believes?

As far as what do I gain by not believing--I don't have to be promised some eternal reward to be a good person. I don't have to be promised a spiritual gain in order to believe in something.
