the vet is going to do another blood test, it may have been just a fluke he said but wanted to be sure before he put her out to have her teeth cleaned.
I was wondering since he left a voice mail after hours today.

the best thing you can do is follow the vets advice for treatment.

Whaa....? Presumably your vet didn't just say 'she has high potassium' and then hang up?!?! S/he must've said what you can do for her!

Potassium, along with sodium and chlorine, is an electrolyte - responsible for maintaining the water balance in the body. Low potassium is a form of dehydration. Your cat needs to be rehydrated. You need to get water inside her - by syringing it to her, as she presumably isn't eating/drinking properly.

Presumably there's an underlying reason for this condition. Best for her to go back to the vets and receive IV fluids while they treat her for the underlying condition!

Call the vet BACK and say 'and what do I do about this?' if he hasn't already told you!

You just spoke to the vet and then ran over to the internet to ask the advice of a bunch of people who sit around all day giving out advice that may or may not be accurate?!

Call the doctor back and ask him!

The best advice that I can give you is talk to the vet and see if she has to be on a special diet. good luck.

What did the vet say about it? Why not call back and ask?

The vet should have offered some solutions. That is part of their job.
