Well I don't have a History book on Nascar, eeewwwwwwwww, might help if you gave reference to the book or something you moron. I have been following nascar for a while and I don't know the answer, but it sounds like a mistake to me. I assume you know who made this product or still have it in the packages. You could send them and email or go to http://www.beckett.com and either ask them or post a question to a better audience.

This sort of thing happens sometimes. One of the more unique NASCAR diecast cars I have is a 1/18 scale Thunderbird (from the original series by ERTL) from when Bill Elliott was driving the #11 Budweiser sponsored car for Junior Johnson. The hitch in the one I have.....it has a Chevrolet engine. I have another one that has the Ford engine and have read in different places that this was an error made in a few of these cars. The easy check to tell the difference between a Chevy and Ford engine is the location of the distributor (front of block on Ford, back of block on Chevy) Yours may be the same sort of deal, or it could be that the set was made to reflect both.

The numbers are incorrect - Dale Sr. is 3 and Petty is 43. I would return them unless you want a unique - but incorrect -item.

I wonder if these suburbans are like the baseball cards that have mistakes on them? those things are worth a fortune sometimes.

Good luck.
That's all I have to say about that.
