Hi,
Dont know where to start! I will keep it short! 2 weeks ago my mum had a scan, Up until a few days ago we did not know to what extent all of this was..
She has many many tumors in her liver! It has come from somewhere But she is severly jaundice and being sick and weight loss and confusion..
They are tyring to sort out her liver ducts as to relieve this itching and vomiting.
They have told us there is no cure for her as she is in the advanced stages of the tumors..
How long do u think she has left cause no one will answer this?

Be brutally honest. Would like to know of those who know of someone who has been there.

Six Months To One Year. I Really Am Sadden To Know About This. This Is No Ones Fault. This Has Happened For A Reason. Tomorrow Is Never Promised To Any Of Us.

p.s. No One Really Knows On This Earth How Long Your Mom Has Left.

My aunt had liver tumors. When it got into the last stage, she died within the week. The cancer spread all through her body--even her brain. She was in a coma the last 2 days and we put an eye dropper under her tongue with liquid morphine in it.
You do need to sit down and talk to these doctors. You need to find out how far this has spread. If it is just in the liver, then she might have some time left--depending on what they can do for her.

Unfortunately enuff its all a approach, it takes some females hours to have a little one, and loss of life tends to be the same approach.. The morphine will make your mother act that means.. And seems to me that when they go in and do whatever like chopping you open it consistently makes the cancer unfold that a lot rapid...I'm now not an trained i will be able to promise you that much, I watched my die Oct 07 and it was once horrible.. She lived 26 hours after they took her off the blood stress medicine and all that different stuff.. I am so sorry to listen to about ur mom, spend as much time together with her as that you could tell her how much you love her.. The chemo will make her particularly tired together with the morphine.. I made up our minds a long time in the past is it best or quanity of living.. Do not topic hwo you get your mother will at all times be your mother.. Just right luck hold us posted please!

Oh, my dear, no one can predict things like that, even the doctors can't say for sure. Many people go into remission and remain cancer-free for long periods of time. Let's hope your mom is one of these. I don't want to give you false hope, but there are so many new medications and treatments for even advanced cancers, that she should have the benefit of all that's necessary to at least ease her symptoms and make her as comfortable as possible, in the event a cure is not an option. It's okay to get another opinion as far as treatments. Chemotherapy and radiation are often used to prolong the life of cancer patients, even those that have been diagnosed as incurable. Miracles still happen, and prayer is another tool that has been successfully employed. Your mother is lucky to have a concerned child who is interested in her welfare. I'm sure you will bring a lot of comfort to her, regardless of how much time she has left. Good luck and God Bless!

If she doesn't get another liver or part of one she will die in less than a year, but don't wait until near the end of life to do something because a new liver will only work if the body has the strength to except it. My friend got his new liver too late and he still died. Tell you what you can do, see if you can give part of your liver to your mom to keep her alive. If it was my mother I would do the same and get her on some cancer fighters to help prolong her life. Cancer fighters like DHEA, Serratia Peptidase, Graviola you can go to an information site like www.rain-tree.com/graviola.htm or curezone.com or http://www.cancer.gov

regrettably enuff its all a technique, it takes some women human beings hours to have a baby, and absence of existence has a tendency to be the comparable way.. The morphine will make your mom act that way.. Your mom has as long as God has planned for her and thats the truth. I am an Oncology RN and pts and their families ask us this question all of the time.
No one really knows the answer. I would say her life expectancy is not very long based on my opinion and I stress it is an opinion only.
Sometimes cancer pts buy themselves time thru radiation treatments and chemotherapy. Sometimes, its all in vain and the outcome is bad.
I will pray for your mother and you. I have lost both of my parents and I know how much grief you are experiencing. Peace and love to you and your family.

a doctor can best answer your question. There is always hope that your mother will continue to live a long and painful life. I know a person who was told when he was 23 that he only had a few months to live because of his cancer. He was extra sad because he was a new husband and his wife was pregnant...he decided to live as long as God would allow, and died at 93.

My father in law had lung cancer and he died after 8mths of being diagnosed. He too became very jaundice and lost a lot of weight. He ended up in a wheel chair. I feel for you as it was a very horrible time for us and so sad to see someone you love that was once so strong and such a funny and handsome man, fade away before us.

I pray for you that your mother holds on for as long as she can. Be strong for her. xx
