It's easier to tell you the things you CANT eat:
Caramel, Laffy Taffy, chewing gum is tricky.....and if youre getting the clear ones you want to avoid drinks like coke and dr. pepper because they will stain your brackets.
Also, when youre eating lunch, I found it best to tear pieces of your sandwich off and eat it....because if you bite into a piece of bread its liable to get stuck in your braces.

Look lovely, don't they! Forget them while wearing braces. All these sort of sweets will ruin your appliances, and if continually taken, will make a successful outcome to your orthodontic treatment impossible
Fizzy drinks contain carbonic acid and if taken in excessive amounts will also damage your teeth.
You should also avoid hard foods other than sweets. For instance, hard nuts, popcorn, hard crusts, gnawing at 'spare ribs' as this will likely damage the front teeth brackets, breakfast cereals with hard seeds and nuts, tough meats and rind of bacon, etc. The list is much too complex to list here. Use some common sense when selecting your food.
Most normal foods such as chicken, veg, fruit, fish, bread, meats, salads etc. are fine.
baically anything good you cant have it like candy, chips, and soda........i knew that was my aunties problem....belive she has so many stains from it....

For me braces do no longer harm in any respect. even while getting them positioned on it did no longer harm. the only element that harm substitute into that day and a couple of or 3 days after my mouth substitute into relatively sore yet no longer the rest. To me the spacers harm extra effective than the braces. As for the meals you may consume.. They inform you to no longer consume popcorn, complicated or sticky stuff, gum, coffee and soda. i'm able to assert i've got probably broke all those rules. The gum does not artwork so nicely with braces because it gets caught in between the brackets. i've got broke a bracket 2 situations. as quickly as substitute into with a tortilla chip and as quickly as with a frozen meal bar. it might desire to be a reliable thought to stay far flung from those issues... in spite of the reality that i do no longer understand many people who might choose to consume frozen meal bars anyhow. reliable success alongside with your braces you would be satisfied you got it accomplished!

I agree with Sierrask about this question
I ate almost anything. the only things that you can't eat are anything that is sticky like laffy taffy, gum or something like that. You don't want to drink anything that has color or dye in it. Your orthodontist might not want you eating popcorn either because it could get stuck in between your braces so ask them first. Atlhough my brother ate pretty much anything and he got his off when he was supposed to
I hope this has heped you

well definatley do not drink soda all the time...or even orange juice... coz that stains them orange hehe.. and nothing hard like peanuts or caramel things.. in the first week you wont be able to chew your food so food process it...hehe and eat it like a paste.... i did that... it was kinda wierd but it didnt hurt... so ye basicly nothing hard and nothing too acidic.. or the small brackets will come off.. thats happened to me 6 times!!!! not a good thing... and your teeth might start rotting if candy or the soda gets left behind.. so good luck!!

well, with braces, its best to stay away from sugary foods, and gum. if you are a big gum chewer, stick with sugarless gum. its just a little harder to brush away all the build up on your teeth with braces. sticky candy can be tricky with braces, and be careful with the hard candy too! it can break the brackets if you're not careful. but, your dentist will go over everything with you, and if he forgets to, dont be afraid to ask him! he might also give you a couple special little brushes, to clean help clean underneath the little brackets a little easier. good luck at the dentist!
