Why is it you don't want to fly with him? Many airlines allow you to bring your cat as a carry-on for a small fee.
You need only have a special pet carrier that is sized and shaped to fit under an airline seat. These can be purchased for less than twenty US dollars and are available from a pet store or vet's office.
If you're concerned about your cat's ability to handle the plane ride, your cat's vet can offer a sedative. Flying with you will be much less stressful for him, also, than a courier service.
Finally, the courier service is likely to be more expensive than the fee to bring your cat on the plane with you.
Please let us know how it works out for you and your cat, either way? All the best to you!

Head over to http://www.craigslist.com and post an ad for someone to take your cat with them on their trip from Windsor to Calgary.
That way, you'll know the cat is taken care of, and it will be less expensive than shipping the cat by courior.
