i decided a long time ago that what nixon (a master of hating) said was true...that when you hate others you only end up destroying yourself (i know this is a poor paraphrase of the quote) so i figure that while i can allow myself to be angry at what other people may do or say, i no longer was willing to take the risk of hurting myself by hating anyone...especially people i don't even know-but i must admit, people like dick cheney and ann coulter push my limits...

You'll forgive him eventually, he's your dad. But right now you are angry, and understandably so. What he did was very mean. For now be glad that you got your dog back, I can't imagine they would hold a puppy accountable for a nip, that seems a little extreme. Maybe later on, in a few weeks, or maybe even a month or two when things have calmed down and everyone isn't overly emotional about it you can talk to him and ask him why he wanted to get rid of the dog so bad, or why he doesn't like the dog. You don't have to reveal everything you know if it is going to anger him. In the mean time maybe some dog training for the puppy would help. Some obedience lessons will help him behave around other people.

Since I adopted a policy of equal opportunity loathing for humankind, I haven't looked back.
The trick is to adopt the "R&S approach" - generalise, use blanket terminolgy.
There are no individuals; everybody is equally deserving of my derision.
It saves me so much time, I can tell you.
Yes, hardy hardy har. Parody, etc.
Well it's about time sarcastic wit got let out for a run, in this place.
They're all so dour.
Sometimes it's like being at a nihilist's convention, except even they know how to have fun.

Fortunately I am not a christian so it is not mandatory for me to hate any group of people, not even the christians who hate me as a gay man. Gay people are lovers not haters.

Yes that's the problem. You hit the nail right on the head. Hell sometimes I just have to forgive some of the bastards so I can keep up with the rest. Do you have that problem too? Oh Hell now everyone is saying they don't hate anyone even a little bit, Liars!

Why did you forget someone? (like maybe that you hate Christians?)
If you are AGAIN trying to say that Christians hate gays, atheists etc.....it is not worth telling you AGAIN that we do not hate them but we do hate what they stand for. If you want to believe that we hate them (you) then have at it!!

Who hates--that is a choice--you may choose to Hate.--I don't.
This most atheist don't comprehend YOU CAN DISLIKE WHAT SOMEONE DOES. AND NOT HATE THE PERSON.
If atheism is based in facts--why is that so hart to fathom?

No. I try not to hate anyone. I might dislike things a person does or doesn't do but as far as hating them...no.

We are not Haters! We are not to Judge. Jesus tell us in the book of Matthew to "Judge not, because we will be Judged with the same measure that we have used to Judged others.
