they have a corn on the foot that is up. just kidding! it means that they are resting and/or relaxed and contented.

Because parakeets stand on both of their legs day after day, their legs become tired. They lift one of their legs up to give it a break!

at the same time as birds use one foot to face/sleep on, it really is a sturdy signal. It signifies that they experience secure and guard of their environment. yet each so often they received't use one foot extremely, because of an damage, yet they received't tuck it below their feathers as general. in the adventure that they use both ft to sleep on, it really is continually no longer a sturdy signal (no longer consistently), so if so, keep a watch on it.

because their legs are tired. imagine if you spent all day standing on your feet and never got to sit down. birds even sleep standing up. so every now and then they want to rest one of their legs and they will do this by pulling it up and just standing on one leg for a while. it's perfectly normal for him to do. don't worry about it.
