Hi, We have a home office and we have some office expenses that we weren't able to declare in our previous income tax. Can we declare it this year?

If the expenses occurred in 2005, no, but you could file an amended return for last year.

No, you must declare expenses in the year they're incurred.

I'm not sure why you weren't able to declare them on your previous year's return - if you just DIDN'T, you could file an amended return, but I'd hesitate to do that unless the amount is substantial.

You can only write off expenses in the year they were incurred. You could see if you have enough to amend last years taxes and maybe you could get a better refund.
