Just wanted to know any real success stories from the horse's mouth before thinking about getting it done.

How long the treatment was undertaken for it to be effective and have you had permanent results?

Thanks for the info. I know excessive hair growth can be because of hormonal conditions as well such as PCOS or Thyroid.

Even my doctor recommended electrolysis, but it is quite expensive if you are removing a lot of hair.

If you suffer overgrowth of hair on your face, Turkish doctors recently discovered that women with excessive hair growth who drank spearmint tea twice a day (1 tsp/steeped 5-10 min.) dramatically reduced hair growth. I tried this myself and after a month, the pace of hair growth was extremely slow! Before it was like I would have a 5 o clock shadow. Apparently, women with this excessive growth have too much free testosterone in their system and something in the spearmint binds with it and makes it inert.

Men should not use this treatment as it also interferes with their libido (which is why they suspected this might work for women).

OUCH! kind of drastic! I knew a blind woman in college who used a sort of sandpaper for removing hair from her legs. But this wasn't a permanent solution. And while, yes it would be cheaper than laser, it's also pretty risky. you could get infected or the scar tissue might look awful. how about just using Hair or something if you don't want to pay for laser?
