Im 13 and have baby-sat many times. But my mother doesnt like leaving me with babies. I've been left with a 3 month old and 2 4 yr olds plus a 3 year old for 3-4 hours. Would you trust me with your children???

i had my first babysitting job when i was 13. i babysat a 3 and 4 year old. but, i knew i couldnt handle a newborn, or a baby under the age of 2. dont take offense if somebody wont let you watch a little baby, moms tend to be a little more watchful and protective over the little teeny tiny babies. i'd trust you with my two year old though! she's quite a handful, but what she needs is a 13 year old who is full of energy to keep up with her!

I have a 3 month old, and honestly, I would not trust someone under the age of 16 or 17 with my child. Babies arn't always just cute and cuddley, it's alot of work. And I think it's way to much for a 13 year old to handle.

I think it sepends on the parent. I had 11 miscarriages, and w/ the 2 children I did have, I never left them w/ anyone but my mother. I do however know lots of people who leave their babies w/ young people if they've taken the course at the local red cross.

I personally would not let some one your age babysit for me but many people do. It depends on the person. There are also babysitting classes you can take and they teach you CPR and first aid too! Check into the class. its for anyone 12 and over so obviously your old enough to babysit. Maybe if you took the class your mom would let you babysit the younger babies. She is not being mean, though. Its a huge responsibility.
good luck

I hate to say it but no. I don't trust anyone with my kids! They have gone to the same sitter...when necessary. Allthough...I was babysitting at 12 and 13. You just have to find what works for your mom. Show her that you are responsible enough to handle it.

I would trust you, you seem pretty headstrong.
