They are right. Check your insurance handbook and find out what facilities or individuals you insurance covers, and that should assist you to find the help you need. Good luck to you.

In a lot of cases, there is little to no difference in the two.

In some cases, a counselor may be a psychologist, social worker, case manager, etc. Some therapists have no credentials at all *(PSY 101).

Most accredited counselors and therapists are at Master's Level, minimum--check out the credentials of the person you plan to seek help from.

If price is a problem (which it is for a great deal of us), every state has out-patient clinics which can be free or sliding-scale. If you do have insurance, call your insurance company and see who they will pay for you to see.

Well I think like a couselor helps u figure out ur problem and then the therapist helps u get rid of ur problem but pretty much unless they are really good at there job they are the same thing!
