The color of your pup's eyes is the least of your worries. They are most likely still blue because he is so young.
Your biggest problem is that he is TOO YOUNG to be away from his mother and litter! Puppies should not leave for their new homes before 8 weeks of age...12 weeks is even better....because those two weeks between 6 and 8 weeks are crucial for your dog to learn how to be a dog and how to interact with other dogs. Dogs taken from their mother and litter before 8 weeks are far more likely to develop behavioral and socialization problems. Pick up some good books on dog socialization and behavior (Culture Clash by Jean Donaldson is a good one as is pretty much anything written by Patricia McConnell) and find a dog trainer who is also trained in dog behavior now, because you're probably gonna need the professional help later!

Yup, for such a very very young puppy, it's natural for his eyes to still be blue. If he is supposed to have dark eyes, likely in a JRT they are.. They'll start turning dark over the next few weeks, even as long as 9 or 10 weeks or more. Depends on the breed, colour of the dog etc.

honestly not. As a labrador breeder i be attentive to what 6 week old puppies are able to doing. Even being a mixed breed puppy i won't be able to see this happening. somebody might have heard some thing and the dad and mom and grandmother left the toddler on my own interior the swing for a protracted volume of time. somebody is mendacity and DNA could tell the certainty after a submit mortem of the neglected toddler and necropsy of the puppy that replaced into positioned down. enable them to the two RIP the undesirable issues. some human beings are not meant to have toddlers or pets.

Yes they can change colour,
are you aware that your pup should have stayed with his mother and siblings for at least 2 more weeks 10 weeks would be optimum, the next 2 weeks is a critical learning stage where he learns for from lessons on being a dog something you can't teach him, dogs that are taken away from mom too early tend to have more behavioural problems and have trouble getting along with other dogs because they lost out on the dog communication skills, if you can ask the breeder if they will hold on him for 2 more weeks

some pups eyes stay blue intil after 6 weeks before they change color. I thought my american bulldog would have blue eyes but they changed to green after 8 weeks.

I wouldn't worry about the color of your puppy's eyes. They will change later.

If they change, they change. It will happen sooner or later. Maybe you will have a blue-eyed dog.
