Ok so today I was in class with my best guy friend (lets call him D) and my girl friend...and we were watching these movies and so I was talking to D and so after a while my other friend started saying how I liked him...and so I kept on telling her to stop until I just ignored her. And then she said "Either you like D or he likes you" and so D just turned around and ignored her.(Just so you know my friend and D already went out and she doesn't like him if that's what you are going to say.) Do you think D likes me if he didn't say anything to my friend...D has also been flirting with me alot and stuff...I'm just curious...Oh I like D but I think of him as more of a best friend... D and my friend went out for a day an a half (she asked him out) and then she broke up with him b/c she said she didn't like dating a friend...after that he didn't seem upset at all and just went on with his life

Honesty I think he does like you. He seemed shy when she asked the question which is a dead giveaway. Personally I think the logest lasting realationships happen between two people who are friends. He already knows you, knows your favorite things to do etc, and you like him. I think you have yourself a golden oppurtunity. Just don't let it slip away from you, remember there are other girls in the world as well as guys, and he won't be around forever. Take the oppurtunity now. Even if it doesn't work out your friendship will be even tighter so I say what have you got to lose.

I think she was trying to get a rise out of either of you and trying to find out. I would ignore her. If he liked you, I am sure he would be man enough to ask you out.

If you only like him as a good friend, I wouldn't worry about it. Just go on being his good friend. She may be just jealous of your friendship with him and want you two to be closer as friends. She may be feeling threatened that D and you seem to be closer friends than you and she.

You can start doing more with her to make her feel more valued or just have a talk with her. Tell her that it is inappropriate to talk like that in front of them, that it just makes her look jealous and kind of like a fool. Tell her how much you value her and her friendship and that her friendship is different than the friendship you have D.

Best wishes to all of you.

Most of the people I call friends don't like me, so I don't know why D would like you.

Well, it could be that if D DOES like you, that he would rather tell you himself. It sounds like D would have preferred to tell you himself, but your other friend didn't give him that choice. So he may very well like you.

If he likes you he'll eventually show you. I'd stop telling your friend who you like and don't like because she can't keep anything to herself!
