ok, nobody has to do this. since i'm always hit with lines such as "god bless" or "jesus loves you" at the end of answers by christians, i've come up with a phrase that sums up my beliefs that i'm gonna start using at the end of my answers. how's this?
"only science can save you"
feel free to use it if you like.

underdog, funny how you still believe a 2000 year old book of parables to be historical fact.

no underdog, i've actually seen pictures and video of ww1. i've met veterans, and been to veterans websites. i know there have been wars in the past, just as there are wars going on today. so it's not that big of a stretch for me to believe that ww1 occurred. on the other hand. i've never seen anyone healed miraculously. i've never seen a man walk on water, and i've never seen anybody rise from the dead, so you'll forgive me if i'm a little skeptical about claims of something like that happened in a time when people were much less skeptical, and those who were skeptical got killed.

I believe athiesm is simply a form of human pride. I do not want to accept that there is a power (let's say God, for now) that is greater than I am. So I simply refuse to believe there is such a being.
I then take on the label of 'athiest' and smugly consider myself a bit smarter, wiser and less superstitious than all the weaklings who "need" religion.
Vanity, simple vanity is athiesm.

I like the idea, but the use of the word "saves" implies science is a religion. Maybe "through reason and thought" or something like that?

I tried using OMS (oh my science) for a while as a nod to South Park, but it got silly. You could use Science is Truth! or something like that.

Interesting....Funny how science has been widely accepted as truth so many times only to be found false sometime later. if you want to base your life on that, then go for it. I for one base mine on the infallible word of God. Who has yet to be wrong. Good luck, God bless, and dont forget, Jesus loves you.
**acutally its older than 2000 years. the old testaments been around longer thant that. As far as "historical truth"...well, do you blelieve in WW1? why? did you fight in it? Or, did you read aboutt he accounts of others who did, and hold it to be true?

I like "only you can save you" better. Or maybe "you don't need salvation".
But science did save my baby son from dying when he was born prematurely... and maybe it has saved your life too.

It's a good sign off.
I like it.
I'll make no promises that I'll use it, invoking sheer laziness as my excuse.
Thanks for the offer, much appreciated.
