Why deal with the disapointment and problems? I do belive in god and I am saved by god, but most religons are full of issues from judging people, gays, child molesters, killers, and so many others! You join a cult you could get killed, if you are a true satonest you could be killed, judged, or even not hired at a potental job. Why deal with that, doen't you have enough problems? So why add more?

Um, because there's a little saying that goes something like to thine own self be true.

You can get killed for anything, being in a cult or being a satanist doesn't automatically set the sites of all gun-wielding crazy people on you. (I'm also curious as to what you consider a "cult", I hope by "cult" you don't mean non-Christian religions, because they're not all cults, and not all so-called "christian" churches are anything more than cults.)

I think a better question would be....

Why wear designer clothes or carry a purse or wallet or use any portable electronics devices if it means you can be killed?

Why walk down the street? Why go to a store or a bank? Why honk at a moronic driver? Oh, the things that will get you killed are endless..........

As for being denied a job because of your religious views, there are laws against that, and it's pretty easy to find a lawyer.

The same thing applies to Christians in the middle east. Are you saying that because Christians in Baghdad (and yes there are some, Syrian orthodox) are denied jobs, that they should forsake Christ and become Muslim? What is somebody said you had to become Atheist or you would be fired (assuming this was legal)? Would you? Probably not. God before self.

Dissapointment and problems happen wether you are religious or not and religion is mans way to get to God and understand him and thats not how God wants it Gods way is a personal relationship through his son Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

I believe in God. I also believe in the Devil. I don't believe that I have to go to church to have faith in something. God hears my prayers and he loves me. I know this, I don't need a man to tell me this. I follow the Ten Commandments, and I live a good life. I have a Bible and sometimes read from it. My daughter knows about God, and sins and faith. I am raising her right. We have values and morals and ethics the same as most church going ppl. We just don't attend church for the same reason that you listed in your Question!
