The Christian College Answer:
Don't worry about the environment. Jesus is going to come back before long, so we can do anything we want and it won't matter. In fact, if we take care of the environment and think of future consequences, that's sinful, because it shows a lack of faith in the Biblical god.

It's the main catalyst in causing adaptation and variations. Changes in habitat= adaptation and evolution within species.

People and things learn to adapt to environment, but they are the same species as before.
I don't know the Christian college answer.
