They really have no obligation to provide you a place to rest. But if you booked it all through BA there are things you can do.

First sign up for the BA frequent flyer thing online and get a member number. You may request a one day pass to either their lounge or one of their partner airlines. You can get net access, snacks and usually find a nice big comfy chair to nap in. It is much better than wandering the airport.

Get online before you go and ask some questions. They may just make some arrangements (it won't be a hotel for only 11 hours) because if they want they can do a lot.

They used to but I am not aware of any airlines that do it now especially not when you are changing planes and airlines. If you have 11 hours in HK i would advise getting a hotel room or storing your luggage at the airport and getting out and seeing the city. Don't spend 11 hours in the airport it will just make you miserable.

The simple answer is no. I have waited for similar hours at different hours. If you are flying business or first class, then you could use VIP lounges provided by Cathay in Hong Kong.

Another suggestion is that you could take a day trip in Hong Kong before boarding your next flight. You do not need a visa if you are holding a Malaysian passport.

If you have an 11 hour layover. I suggest you go to the transit hotel on the airport. The ailines may let you use the business lounge but for a layover like that you would be more comfortable in a hotel room.
