It's a much-visited SF theme... how aliens would affect belief.
From C S Lewis's trilogy,
(the rest of the universe is already in God's realm Earth, alone, "fell" and is "quarantined")
Arthur C Clarke: "The Star", "The Sentinel" and other stories.
Moorcock's "Behold the Man"
And far too many where two aliens fleeing a cataclysmic disaster land on a deserted planet, and they turn out to be Adam and Eve.
C s Lewis sketched out the possible implicatiions in "Religion and rocketry"

I've been asking that question for years (without the UFO landing bit.)
I usually just get hem's & haw's because most people have never considered thinking outside of the "we are alone in the universe" box. As soon as they do, the whole belief system starts to fall apart.
Especially "the resurrection of Jesus is the ONLY WAY to salvation" sector.

Well if people actually read their bible, that scenario should make them question their entire belief system. In order for there to be a race of interstellar traveling aliens, they would have to be much more advanced than we are. The bible states that god put man above all of his creations, that we were basically the end all be all of creation and we were the only ones to be made in his image. If an advanced alien civilization does exist it would mean that the bible is wrong. If one part of the bible is proved to be wrong on such a basic concept, then what else would be wrong?

What has this got to do with Christianity? I believe that there is a slight possibility of people on other planets.
The government covers up a lot of things.
My faith in Jesus would not change.
Benitoca, why would it mean that they were more advanced than we are? We have sent men to the moon.

Not a Christian. But it wouldn't make me question my faith at all. In fact it would only confirm it.
I'm just hoping when the aliens land they are friendly and we don't do something stupid like blow them up.

Why would it? Is it beyond the power of God to create aliens? Aren't we aliens compared to the aliens?

They would say God sent them. God made the universe, so he would have made aliens too. Ha!

It would not suprise me that in the vast universe that god created there were other forms of life. If not ,why is it so big?
just for us, I doubt it.
