This bird at my feeder is black and white speckled. He has a white belly and scarlett collar around his neck. There are flecks of red on his chest that look like blood drops (they are so brilliant red!) What can he be? Please help.

Maybe a Rose-brested Grosbeak? What part of the country are you located in?

wel first..i would go on yahoo pics or something and put in wild birds In your area....or state. and try and see if you can find a pic of it find out the name somehow...

My first thought was red-bellied woodpecker, but this will depend on where you live.
