Who is the most recent ace in American and forgien history?I don't think there have been many in modern history.Why is that?

As best as I can recall there haven't been any American "ACES" since the Vietnam Conflict: Duke Cunningham, USN

We got the Iraqi Air Force on the ground, AND those killed in ACM were spread among multiple-pilots.

The only OTHER ACES I can thing of would be Israeli AF... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_flying_aces_in_Arab-Israeli_wars ... which would have ended in 1973.

no, most fighters are designed to work as bombers only on a smaller scale and deploy faster than larger class aircraft.

large countries have air superiority, the "uncivilized" enemies are lucky to have AK's. No one to dog fight with, plenty of jobs for bombers though.

Most recent dog fighting has been by israeli air and US pilots who work with them.
