Baklava is a Middle Eastern dessert widely know as well in Turkey, Greece and Balkans. It is made of phyllo pastry and mixed nuts, baked in the oven. Syrup is added afterwards. The Greek name is ΜΠΑΚΛΑΒΑΣ μπακλαβάς

It is a pastry.
There are different kinds of it. One of it is made with filo pastry. And there are different nuts in it. Or pistachios. Some of them have honey on top of them and some other have rose water.
If you want to buy some, buy either the Lebanese or Persian.
I haven't tried the Turkish kind yet.
I had them for desert today... YUM-O! with some Persian tea.

I think Bkllava is a kind of pastry, widely available in the Middle East.

It's one of the best sweets ever! Of tourkish or greek origin.
It's a delicious dessert, especially in Summer time!
It means: (that) fills the look up! When one sees it, he stares at it eyes open. Or when eaten, makes one looking around with eyes wide open!
From turkish "bak"=look. al=the and va=eat.

there is a baklava - a dessert usually made out of filo pastry, nuts and raisins, it is served in the baklans, turkey and north africa - each recipe is a bit different but they all taste great

ya its a pastry i guess from ispahan,but i didnt think persian was so populare
