The gates of heaven and hell are adjacent to one another, and look identical.
When the "devil" (realized) He had been flung to the earth (it was probably around the time that the inquisitions and crusades started/the "devil was roaring mad, and realized He had lost the game, the jiggy was up! Now the "land beast" starts attacking the populace at large, seeking to find the true church that God had hidden.
I'd say that Satan fell - in the vicinity of Rome.
He is bound in that one spot, seeking to control your mind.

Lucifer is a spiritual being, not subject to gravity which only effects material beings.
Satan falling to earth is just symbolic, meaning that he was excluded from Heaven, and the domain where he now operates is in the earthly realm. He now roams the Earth like a raging lion, trying to drag human beings into hell by destroying their faith in Jesus.
His agents, in human form, are all around us, including on yahoo R &S, they preach atheism, secular humanism and numerous false religions.

He was cast out of Heaven. Where else could he do the most damage to God's creation... the earth.

As you read these vs. ask yourself where this was?
28:14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
Eze 28:15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.
Eze 28:16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
It happened "in heaven" in the 1st earth age. 2 pet 3:5-6
