Henna would be the best. Henna does not harm the hair, but simply coats it. But do not use henna if you plan on getting your hair dyed, as the it coats the hair and dye has unpredictable results if used after henna. Also henna cannot lighten hair, only darken and change the highlights. Hope this helps.

i have used henna three times on my hair, it makes it a reddish-orange depending on your hair color, henna comes in a green powder or red, and you can usually get it at health food stores, and other natural food/ grocery places... it will stain the hair but it is gentle as are most other natural hair products

Henna. If you have light hair, you can try that bluing stuff used for laundry (old ladies used to use it on their white hair to brighten the white but if you use too much, it turns it slightly blue).
