Cupcake Cones

Ingredients:
24 flat bottom wafer ice cream cones (without holes or cracks)
1 (18 ounce) box cake mix, any flavor
1 1/4 cups water, per cake mix directions
1/3 cup vegetable oil, per cake mix directions
2-3 eggs, per cake mix directions
1 (1 lb) container vanilla frosting or cream cheese frosting (or homemade)

Decorations:
candy sprinkles (optional) or cherries, with stems, etc. (optional)m&m's

1.Preheat oven to 350°.

2.In 13x9x2 inch baking pan, arrange ice cream cones, standing up.

3.Prepare mix per package directions.

4.Spoon batter into cones, filling 3/4 full.

5.Bake 35 minutes or until wooden pick inserted into center comes out clean.

6.Remove to rack to cool completely.

7.Frost and decorate with sprinkles and a cherry if desired.

I use confetti cake mix. Prepare as directed.
Put each cone in a muffin tin and fill with batter, careful to leave an inch empty at the top of the cone. I drop M&M's on the batter and push them in with a toothpick. Bake as directed. Cool completely on a rack.
I use the confetti icing (it has a container of sprinkles with it). Frost the cones and top with sprinkles.
