Get one of those inflatable exercise balls, they are great for doing ,abs without straining the back, and many other exercises too. I have one that has rubber nubs all over the outside so it doesn't slide on the carpet. I got it at K-mart. Also , one great exercise I do is , Dance. Just put on some upbeat music, and bust a move, make up some moves, throw in some trunk twists, and kicks and squats into it and mix it up. That way you are enjoying your fave tunes and getting your cardiovascular system moving. I do this for about a half an hour , before I exercise on my ball. Also, stand with legs slightly apart, suck in your gut ,tight, and hold in that position while breathing , for one minute, then release. Then push your gut out all the way and hold it while breathing for one minute, then release. Do this a total of 4 times, in and out. You wouldn't think it does much , but it will start to show in a couple of days. Also , eat three healthy meals a day, your plate should be visually divided in three sections, the top half is vegetables, the bottom half is divided into protein, and carbohydrate. Eat a low fat snack, like a lo-fat yogurt cup, or one stick of celery, cut into thirds , with peanut butter on it, or a hand full of almonds, unsalted, half way between meals, and your evening meal should get done by 7pm. About 2 hours before you go to bed, you can have one mini hersey bar,for a treat. And use wholegrain bread instead of white, and olive oil for fat. season with Mrs. Dash instead of salt. Make sure you drink plenty of water throughout the day. The protein should be like 3ounces of baked or broiled salmon, Chicken without the skin, Veggie burger, lean ground turkey. Carbs, eat brown rice, wild rice, whole grain pasta. If you are still hungry you can always eat more veggies. Fruit can be eaten before breakfast.
