Religions of all faiths demnads the one principal I will mention....

Respect, and a strict adherence to its mechanics.

Where is the proof for what what most ignorantly claim to be truth, especially the bashing of a Most Beautiful deen such as islam?

This is sad that some readily profess belief and act according to disbelief.....

As Salaamun Alaikum, Can I get a witness!
May Allah reward us all for our desire to know truth.....

Skep-doc / Rev/ and anyone else who feels the same. You will not respect the fact that humanity has the right to excercise its opinions. And why blam the religion for how it is interpreted by man. Read your own interpretation of your views according to what you say is your opinion. I suspect that is someone else's view that you have expressed.
Otherwise what proof can you offer to substantiate, according to what you say is your views.

I agree!...one should not disrespect or ridicule a religion...its another thing if you do not believe in its core..People who think respect is "earned" are wrong...Respect is always given NOT earned .You 'earn' money for living...people who ridicule and degrade religions are sad people with alot of negativity in them...which only brings in more hate..people who are disrespectful are not peace loving people .they are true pessimists!!
All religions...like judaisim chirstainity and islam have proven and have proof of a "higher knowledge"..these religions came into existance ages go ..and different times..but all agree in one same thing which is believe in the "higher knowledge" there fore they do have proofs..its only some people who lack the confidence and have insecurties about not believing in something they have not seen with their eyes..they cannot see the air the breathe in but still believe they are inhaling oxygen..they have faith in science...when even science and logic admit to have some higher power running the whole show...for the universe cannot have run or been made on its own...:) THANks! Peace!!

As a Christian myself- i does no longer refute the guy who posed the question you gave as an occasion cos that's authentic. Scientists won't be able to teach the international has existed for over a million years or what ever they say. despite the fact that- if a Christian became into to place up a some thing that announces atheists would desire to be wiped off the face of the earth and that Christians would desire to have 0 tolerance to atheists and that i became into to return for the duration of this sort of question- i could vehemently refute it, on account that kind of suggestions-set is faulty and is going thoroughly opposite to what the Bible instructions us (to love our enemies)

Why do I have to "respect" any religion, Islam included? Respect is not automatic, it must be earned.

All religion is based on believing in the unseen and unproven. I have no respect at all for that world view. I will not defer to religious opinion because of their unproven claims to "higher" knowledge.

Islam and Christianity, the bastard sons of Judaism, are among the most intolerant, disrespectful and violent death cults ever created by man.

I'm going to stick with spec-doc here. Religions don't deserve the special dispensation to be shielded from criticism and ridicule, on the sole fact it is a religion, and history will testify to this. Islam is NOT a beautiful religion, nor is it at all peaceful.

I've seen many a protester on the news holding up a sign saying "Behead those who mock Islam."

I think that people have the right to believe what they want. Islam is no worse than any of the other religions out there. For those who practice this religion; Great.......for those who don't; "do unto others as you would have them do unto you"

Do not persecute people because of the faith they choose to follow.

I can disagree with beliefs, and still respect the right of others to believe what they will.
