I have had 4 beagle puppies. They were all acting fine. Then one day two of them were acting sickly. One lost all control of his bowels and died within an hour. The other one lost weight within a day and died after two days, right before he died he had bloody stool. Now a 3rd puppy is sick. Does anyone know what may be the cause of this?

It's urgent you get them to a vet.It sounds like they have caught an infection such as parvo virus which if not caught early is deadly and highly contagious. If you have other dogs you need to seperate these pups from the rest otherwise they will all catch it.Phone the emergency vet up now!!!

Sounds like Parvo to me, one of my pups got it when Parvo was first known about, and no injection was available then. First thing you should be doing is getting the vet out to them and making sure that you get as much water (cooled boiled) into them as you can. Make sure in future all visitors take their shoes off before coming into the house, I make this a rule with all my pups, cos this is how my original pup got it in the first place from a neighbours shoes

The same thing happened to most of my 9 puppies! They all started dying because a stray dog with a sickness came up to one of my puppies and got it sick. That puppy got some more of my dogs sicka and they all died except for a few. We took the rest to a shelter. You should call the vet ASAP!!!

it sounds to me as if you have allowed either a dog owner in your house and they have given your pups an infection i never let anyone near my pups until they are 4 weeks old no one handles them only me you cant be to carefull get to the vet a s a p mate before you lose that other pup you realy need to reads all the pros and cons when you have pups in the house you cant be to carefull im so sorry to hear of what has happened but you need to be so carefull i never even let my ***** go out for a walk until all the pups have left my home because she could so easy bring an infection in the house and kill the hole litter when i have pups in my home all my dogs stay in the back yard and that is as far as they go try ande think back to who you have had in your home or where you have been with your dogs good luck with the last pup

Why didn't you take all of them to the vet when the first one got sick? There is no one on here that can help or save the remaining pup. Take it to the vet ASAP and they can possibly tell you what has happened!!!!!!!!!
