All toiletries are allowed in checked baggage, regardless of size. But if you're taking liquids, I would advise putting them in a ziploc bag so they don't leak or burst due to pressure changes.

There are no restrictions on toiletries for checked luggage. To be sure though you are best off checking the website of the airline he is flying with. Also if you are flying out of UK remember hand luggage restrictions it is very tight and securtiy takes a while to get through.

I think they need to be in a bag just in case they leak & dont have hairspray in your purse cuz they will take it away...put it in your suitcase!
