I can understand why males would want to be christians, but there's all these women trapsing around as devout christians which makes me laugh quite hard. I mean, obviously this is a religion created by males. Just look at the facts. Nothing in the Bible respects females and it totally makes it look as if males are superiors to women. Jesus was a man, God was a man. The name for people over all is 'man', not woman. Men were created first. In fact, the woman was just created for the man. The woman was also created FROM the man. the woman was the evil one who cased the man to start sinning with the apple. Eve is the reason for all the bad things if you believe in that crap. I mean, this is a book that was obviously created by some idiot guy. I respect women, but think the women who love the Bible are kind of insane. It has no respect for women. I used to be a christian and my pastor was always disrespectful of women, acting like males rule the world. But how can any christian blame him.

Quite the opposite - God is a God of love who teaches that we are all equal in His sight and are to be treated as such. He demonstrates this time and again through events in the bible where Jesus seeks out women in preference to men, completely against all the codes of the time. The attitude of one pastor can't be seen to show something about the whole Christian faith.

Pastors may not respect women but Jesus does. He spent a great deal of time with women, this was one of the reasons he was rejected. There are many parts of the Bible that indicate the feminine aspect of God. God originally made Adam in His image and then removed the feminine part to make Eve. Thus follows that God possesses all of the masculine and feminine qualities. Men are not superior, this is a corruption of the perfect creation. Eve was not subordinate to Adam in the garden. Both of the first humans are to blame for the introduction of sin to mankind.

In Seminary, they give much attention to the study of the vileness of women. Just in case men who thought themselves capable of foreswearing sex didn't already hold that opinion, a semester is spent detailing our foul nature.

When I re-read the bible at 18, and came to where it told me I was to submit to my husband as mankind must submit to God, I knew the bible was NOT purely God's word, but also included the manipulative attempt to make my disobedience to any husband a sin before God. I am sorry to see men stray into such a serious sin, as this is definitely taking God's name in vain, using the name of God to justify whatever nonsense might occur to them any moment.

At the same time, my older brother, studying to be a priest, told me about the He-Man-Woman-Haters class taught to him by professor priests in seminary. They laughably called the class "The Nature of Woman." This is mental illness institutionalized.

This effectively eliminates the possibility that I could ever submit to any man as if he were god.

If anyone must take the blame for the souls who depart the Churches in droves, it is the Churches themselves. You have tarnished and stained the reputation of God. You are responsible.

I am not angry with Jesus for being a man. I don't think maleness intrinsically bad. I like men, but I have a job, and I don't take orders. In fact, I am unmanageable.

I have let go of joining religions, but not found any reason to let go of Jesus, who has been my close friend all these years. Some of you without my experience of this since my early years, might reasonably call him my holy invisible friend and I won't argue with you. Possibly, I AM insane, even without belonging to a religion.

It won't be the first or last time one of you accuses me of that.

Ephesians 5:28 In this way husbands ought to be loving their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself, 29 for no man ever hated his own flesh; but he feeds and cherishes it, as the Christ also does the congregation,

Ephesians 5:25 Husbands, continue loving YOUR wives, just as the Christ also loved the congregation and delivered up himself for it

Proverbs 31:10 A capable wife who can find? Her value is far more than that of corals. [corals were of great value back then!!]

This is how men should treat their wives. There is nothing wrong with a women having to subject herself to a man. We subject ourselves to others all the time. Just think about your relationship with your boss, of your parents if you are underage, or obligations that you have. Even Jesus had to subject himself to God!

Men should deeply love their wives, and treat them with respect. This is how it should be, however, men don't always do that. The Bible does not discriminate against women, it values them. Just look at how Jesus treated women, he was so loving.

Women are just starting to get back up from the mighty smashing down they took at the beginning of the book that men Authored. Don't worry - round number two is coming - but this time woman will be informed and fully armed with knowledge. They won't eat that horse shtt anymore, or what was misnomed as an apple by supremist man.
There will be great tribulation - such as never was!

Yes, any woman that believes in the bible and its teachings, despite reading it, is actually insane. Donkeys don't talk, and people are not the property of other people.

Curiously, I find it incredible that modern day christians can't figure out that they are NOT who Jesus came for. If only for the lost sheep of Israel, then by his own admission YOU non-Israelites are NOT about to be saved.

Consider this: Matthew 15:22-26 A Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to him, crying out, "Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is suffering terribly from demon-possession." Jesus did not answer a word. So his disciples came to him and urged him, "Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us." He answered, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel." The woman came and knelt before him. "Lord, help me!" she said. He replied, "It is not right to take the children's bread and toss it to their dogs."

Plain and simple, Jesus considers you a dog, and dogs do not have souls and thus cannot be saved. Why ANYONE that is not born an Israelite would choose to worship this set of deities is beyond comprehension.

Oh, and for the angry christian that will say "he still healed her daughter", notice that he said her faith was great, and that he said that if your faith was great you would be able to do things greater than he could because he would go to the father. I have yet to hear of ANYONE, christian or not, that can move a mountain by telling it to or drink poison without dying (if you are saved from death by DOCTORS, then it was not your faith that saved you, it was the DOCTORS!).

To sum things up, everyone who wants to be a christian is insane.

Men are supposed to love their wives as Christ loves the Church. After Jesus' resurrection, he appeared to the women first, not the men. What about Queen Esther, who saved her people from annihilation? Or Ruth, who is an example of a virutous woman? We are supposed to treat all people as equal, and, no Christianity is not just for men.

Religions was made up by selfish humans to cover up their pain and suffering for their convenience. Its easier to blame on external thing than look internally. Its just an EXCUSE. JESUS is an IDOL, an IMAGE, a Figure.

Many women are Christian because that is how they were raised. Others still love Jesus and follow his teachings so therefore that makes them Christian. For me, I am Christian but I also acknowledge the Divine Femine. Therefore, the common lables that fit me are Christian Wiccan or a Christian Witch. Whatever trips your trigger. Blessings, Diana
