When the logic, and thought processes of my mind, reject the core of any religious claims.

It is not my choice as to what I have faith in. If it was I would truely have faith in things of my own imagination, which are fair superior than the injustice of the Bible.

If you cannot believe, you cannot believe.
No amount of threats, or cajoling, or smug comments will change that.

You are who you are, you have chosen as you have chosen.

Did you want me to try and convince you otherwise?
Do you really think either of us have the time, or the patience?

You've made your choice, go, be happy.
:)

If you base your choices on logic, then you may well find many things in life to become quite difficult and lack the spontaneity of fun and passion.

You could always start out by researching, logically of course, all of the world religions so that you are more informed than most who have homed-in on their native country's dominant religions. This might be helped by deductive reasoning etc.

If the 'thought processes of my mind, reject the core of any religious claims' as you wrote, is true, then maybe you will not get to the point of acceptance of any organised religion. Perhaps a personal spirituality or life course is what will most suit you. Otherwise, get on with life and enjoy it, being respectful to others, regardless of their differences.

Good luck! Rob

Take a look around you from where you sit. You will notice that everything in the room is 'made': the walls, the upholstery, the ceiling, the chair where you sit, the book you hold in your hand, the glass on the table and countless other details. None of them happen to exist in your room of their own accord. Even the simple loops of the carpet were made by someone: they did not appear spontaneously or by chance.

The claim of the theory of evolution, the unique method of denying the existence of Allah, is no different than this. According to the theory, inorganic molecules formed amino acids by chance, amino acids formed proteins by chance, and finally proteins formed living creatures again by chance. However, the probability of a living creature being formed by coincidence is less than the probability of the Eiffel Tower being formed in the same manner, because even the simplest human cell is more sophisticated than any man-made structure in the world.

How is it possible to think that the balance in the world came about by coincidence when the extraordinary harmony of nature is observable even with the naked eye? It is the most unreasonable claim to say that the universe, each point of which suggests the existence of its Creator, has come into being on its own.

Therefore, there should be an owner of the balance visible everywhere from our body to the farthest corners of the inconceivably vast universe. So, who is this Creator that ordained everything so subtly and created all?

IT IS ALLAH. Here is just one scientific fact from the whole Quran. There are so many more-

In the Qur'an, certain verses referring to the sun and the moon run as follows: "The sun and the moon follow courses (exactly) computed". (Surat ar-Rahman, 5) "It is not for the sun to catch up the moon, nor does the night outstrip the day. Each (just) swims along in (its own) orbit." (Surah Yasin, 40) Another verse to the same effect declares:

It is He Who created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon. They swim along, each in an orbit. (Surat al-Anbiya, 33)
According to a currently acknowledged theory, massive and voluminous bodies in the universe exert a gravitational force on smaller bodies. For example, the moon makes an orbit around the earth, which has a bigger volume. The earth and other planets in the solar system move in an orbit around the sun. There exists a still bigger system around which the solar system makes an orbit. The most critical point in all these details is that none of the stars, planets and other bodies in space make an uncontrolled move, cut across each other's orbit, or hit one another.

The Qur'an signifies the harmonious movement of these bodies as follows:

By the sky full of paths and orbits. (Surat adh-Dhariyat, 7)
The sun, as one of the billions of stars in the universe, travels more than 17 million kilometers a day in space. This journey of the sun is referred to by Allah as follows:

And the sun runs on unto a resting-place for him. That is the decree of (Him), the Exalted in Might, the All-Knowing. (Surah Yasin, 38)

The choice is yours. You have to have faith to believe. If you have no faith in this, your mind will not wrap around it and accept it. Faith is believing in things unseen, just knowing in your heart. Hopefully someday, something will hit you just right, and you'll just know. If this is truly the way you feel, then we, as christians, should not judge you, preach to you or force any ideas or religious thinking on you, because, as I said in the beginning, the choice is yours.

Your problem is called PRIDE. You choose not to seriously consider something you don't already believe.

Your difficulty is not new. In fact it is recorded in the earliest stories of Chrisitan scriptures.

Of course if your only exposure to religous thoughts are baffoons and stereotypes you are not seriously considering the issues.

Skepticism is where I was until I read "Basic Christianity" this little book will cover all your answers explaining "Religions" as a whole. Tiny book that made all the difference in my life. I search for truth for 40 years and finally found the answer in this little book in 2002. Christianity is not a "religion" it is a personal relationship with the Lord. Churches are places where people go to share their passion for the Lord. Read "Basic Christianity" I pomise you, you will find the answers to your questions. It is small enough to read in one or more sittings.

One cannot blame you for this point of view. In many ways, religious beliefs support the ideas of superstition. If you don't know about it, you speak very matter-of-factly about what I know as Spiritual Humanism. I think we are in ourselves more gods than we realize. Faith in ourselves is our highest ideal. Blind faith in anything will lead to our destruction. Honor yourself. Honor the Earth that supports us. There is nothing wrong with that.

TRUE CHRISTIANITY is Not a Religion, even though Many segments of Religion are called, 'Christian!'

The Pseudo-Christian Religion with its many Sects, Denomination, and off shoots are merely False Copies of the Real.

True Christians are Born Again, John 3:3-to-8 AND John 7:38-39 AND Ephesians 1:13.

They have the Wittiness of God's Holy Spirit, Romans 8:All giving them the Abiding Love and Assurance.

They Believe TOTALLY the Word of God, and its Complete Authority for The True Believer, Matthew 4:4 -&- Luke 4:4.

Perhaps JESUS said it better here.... Did HE say, Few, Some or MANY?

(Matthew 7:20-to-23) Therefore by their fruits you shall know them.

(Mat 7:21) Not everyone who says to Me, Lord! Lord! shall enter the kingdom of Heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in Heaven.

(Mat 7:22) = = MANY = = will say to Me in that day, Lord! Lord! Did we not prophesy in Your name, and through Your name throw out demons, and through Your name do many wonderful works?

(Mat 7:23) And then I will say to them I never knew you! Depart from Me, those working lawlessness!

Feel free to write for More of THIS?

Thanks, RR

the main reason I believed on Jesus Christ was due to the logical truth in the bible. I knew I was a sinner and deserved death, but when I read that Jesus Christ died in my place and I could become a new creature and get eternal life, I thought, this is a great deal and I chose to believe. Why not?

God want us to believe in Him, not in anything else... Religion is just a cultural behaviour, way of perceiving Him or rather path to comprehend God... at least it supposed to be... until gathering and common care about its followers changed into organisation so similar to governments... Religion is nothing wrong, but... Is it still what Jesus build for us?... or is it now something far different? You belong to God, what path you will choose belongs to you... You can even reject God... If you will choose to join any religion I just suggest not to lose sense what is the difference between good and evil... Some people just want us to be blind... Some people build monuments of gods what I believe is foolish... Some people build shelters, care and peace what I believe God wants from His believers... See what is wright and what is wrong to choose wright...
