Phone works on its own. B/band works on its own but when both are connected there is distortion on the phone line.

These problem can occur when there is earth leakage in the line and the line need repair, ask the service provider to check the line for earth current leakage or the wire is damaged from anywhere and getting contact with walls or etc. All so you can do a quick check with the wire too. I will all so suggest you to change a set and them look that the noise is coming or not.

do you have a dsl filter on your phone line..if not you need one..they help sort out the static and balance the two different things..if you do and are still having trouble you need to call the phone company for service or cable if you have broadband through cable

Yes I know what you mean, like the others have said above, you need what they call a micro-filter which seperates the line. Mine came with the broadband package from BT but to buy from BT were only £6.00. Bargain!!

you need a filter for your phone as the broadband is interferring with your line. Just call your phone company or dsl and ask for a phone filter

you need something called a "mirco-filter". what this does is separate the broadband (DSL) signal from the analogue phone signal coming through the line.

ah ha! you need a phone filter for that.. they should come with the broadband package.. if it didnt, just buy some, it doesnt cost that much
