Why do people like me always post questions that only accept an answer that agrees with me?

You are so correct! People often restate the question as a statement to show that people always post questions that only accept an answer that is in agreement.

I find that I sometimes do that, but more often I ask questions that I do not have an answer for. Many times they are simply thought experiments or survey question, and there is no possible "correct" answer. I think you've done the same thing, and there's no reason for self-flagellation when you're just testing the waters.

Actually, I choose the best answer by determining which answer actually taught me something! If the answers already agree with me, I don't even choose best answer for the question..I put it to a vote.
People choose answers that agree with them because they are insecure as to who and what they are....they need affirmation. I do not need this.

I do. Because when we ask questions we want people who share our same thoughts. We just want people to agree with us. Maybe that way we aren't the only one's like us in this wide world.

I don't know..... I try to accept answers that are contrary to my belief even if i disagree, but I find myself leaning towards those who agree with me more than those who do not.
