I seen 2 different types at the store and was wondering which one to use.

there are many different ratings but use what it says in your manual or better yet what on the master cylinder cap It will be dot 3 or dot 4 they should not be mixed

Department of Transportation #3 fluid or Super DOT#3. Do not use Dot 4 it is synethic and will require flushing the whole system. Low fluid in the resv. is a sign that the brake pads need to be inspected. Please have that done before you fill the resv.

dot 3 is the standard for nearly all vehicles. if you are still in doubt, call your local ford dealer, ask for service dept and ask a service advisor. they will tell you DOT 3 also.
