Dere is a bus (Q10) that leaves from da airport and brings you to Sutphin Blvd/ Archer Ave.. from there your gonna take the E train towards Manhattan. Ull know your goin the right way if the next stop is Jamaica Van Wyck. Ride the E all the way to 42nd Street/Port Authority aka Times Square.Get off and go to the S train known as the shuttle to take you to the other side of 42nd street which will also Grand Central Station. Follow da sign to take u into Grand Central and just go to one of the ticket desk and as for the train to take u to Mount Vernon East. Ull be takin Metro North then.

Take the AirTrain (Fare $5) to Jamaica station. Then take the E train (Fare $2) to 42nd St/Port Authority Bus Terminal. Walk along the passageway on the mezzanine to the 42nd St/Times Square shuttle station (S) train. Take that to Grand Central (1 stop). Go upstairs into Grand Central Terminal (buy your tickets in the terminal). It will be a New Have Line train that you will need to take to get to Mt. Vernon East.

Check this page on the MTA website for New Haven Line information:

Welcome back to NY. Enjoy your trip.
