I have no hatred in my heart for immigrants. In fact I think that they tend to be more hard-working, family-oriented, and religious...Which is the problem. How can the younger generation of working-class Americans, most of whom are from dysfunctional families and schools, compete with these ambitious immigrants who come for opportunities more often than freedom?

Especially when its gotten to the point where employers would rather hire immigrants, legal or otherwise, because they know that they will be more hard-working and complacent?

Well I guess you could be a nativist without being racist, but this attitude will lead you nowhere. You yourself have said that immigrants are a great contribution to this country, so removing the contribution would drag everything down, don't you think? I wrote a research paper on immigration for college that talks about this. If you would like to read it, send me an email and I'd be glad to send it to you.

Nativism is not the same as racism.

The rest of your question is hard to answer because of assumptions that all of our poor and less educated come from 'dysfunctional families'. I'll grant you the 'dysfunctional schools' though.

I think it is right and loyal to protect our own people, of whatever race our people are. I don't see where it is racist.

Nativism is not racist.
Believing that we need limits on immigration, and we need to stop all illegal immigration is not "racist"

Illegal aliens come from every nation on earth, not just from one.
It is those people who know they support crimes and people who have no respect for the laws of the USA who support illegal immigration, and they don't have any reasonable, or intelligent response to the facts which prove that illegal immigration is a negative factor for our nation, all across the board.

Illegal immigration is not about "race", or ethnicity, or nationality, the USA allows people of ALL races to immigrate, they just have to do it LEGALLY.

Proponents of illegal immigration and "amnesty" for illegals are floundering, and for lack of anything intelligent to say, fall back on the race care, as if it has anything to do with "immigration" (legal or otherwise), it does NOT.

In RE: Kacky......I happen to be 100% U.S. native American indian, and you do not speak for my people. Next time speak for your own.
We U.S. native American indians do not support illegal immigration, we do not support illegal aliens, we do not support "amnesty" (by any name) and we do not support "open borders" or the "one world" nonsense.
Please do not use my people as an argueing point, when you are not one of us, and obviously you do not speak for us, nor do you know our opinion on this subject.

Illegal immigration has nothing to do with racism! It is about the LAW! What part of ILLEGAL is so hard to understand?

I have no problem with legal immigrants. The ILLEGAL aliens must return to their home country. They don't belong here!

Yes, I agree. Everyone who is not 100% native American should leave. What's your tribe?
