Proceed to say that everybody who has been born and bred in this country since the reign of Henry VIII should all f*** home?
Isnt this being a tiny bit racist? Or am I mistaken? And why do they wonder about not being able to get work when they dont have the basic English skills to fill out an job centre application form? Its just easy for them to blame it on 'foreigners'.
Why cant the people who fit into the bracket above just be man enough to admit that they are racist? Come on you are big enough to hid behind a public forum to racially abuse people you are big enough to admit you are racist!!

Michele M - No I actually work really hard to get ahead in life and when life throws obstacles at me, I don't say 'its not my fault I cant get a job/house/loan its because immigrants have taken it all'
I was raised to believe that we are all equal no matter the colour of our skin, or where we come from. And that you have no quality of life if you spend it on your a*se claiming benefits!

Amen.
I also disagree with the idea that "everyone is racist," as some people here have mentioned. That is a cheap copout to try to justify an evil and inappropriate stance on racism. Knowing that other races are different that you are, or feeling differently around other races when you are not used to it... these things are NOT necessarily racist. Of course we are all different, and it is natural to be uncomfortable when you are the outsider in a group. There is nothing wrong with that, and there is nothing wrong with recognizing we are different. Racism is believing that you are BETTER than other races; thinking that other races are inferior to you; putting down someone because of their race; declining someone of their basic rights because of race; or disliking someone because they are another race. Everyone does NOT do that. Only some people. Racism is only a negative thing, never a positve. I, for one, don't believe myself to be racist in the least, and I abhor racism. It saddens me to see how many people here do not feel the same way. It is sick.

The problem is when folks express genuine opinions concerning problems that are racially based they are accused of being racist. This is a catchword for letting situations smolder and screech until they get out of hand rather then having the courage to actually face the problem and do something about it. Denial never solved any problems and nothing will get done unless those issues are addressed. I am not one of those that feel constrained and/or haunted by actions of those in the past. What others did has no bearing on my thought processes regarding the good or evil perpetrated by others in an era of less enlightenment. We can play that game all the way back to the time of the cavemen and nothing is ever accomplished as a result of it. Just hard feelings and absurd and outrageous remarks that further distances one another from true brotherhood.

Who exactly are we Brits anyway? The ongoing DNA survey being carried out by a boffin from Oxford Uni is showing some very surprising results.
So far they've tested people in the Celtic Fringe of Cornwall and most of the Cornish it turns out are descended from ancient stock going back 10,000 years. Yes, ten thousand years. Blimey. The Oxo team are now slowly working their way into Wales. What they do is take DNA samples and match these against the ordinal Celtic DNA samples they've got from ancient burials etc. They have DNA going back at least ten thousand years and it's check-able.
The Celts all have one thing in common, they have what the Oxo DNA sampler team call 'the red hair gene'. It does not mean however that to be a Celt you must have red hair. It simply means that you are much more likely to have red hair if you are a Celt.
If you knew anyone at school who stood out because they had red hair, he or she was undoubtedly a Celt.
The living Roman description of Queen Boadicea, British Queen of the Icanii described here as having red hair which hung to her knees and that she wore a many coloured [plaid] coat and spoke with a harsh voice. Sounds somehow familiar - I've known people just like that.

Well, immigration CAN play a part in their not getting a job. Though I wouldn't venture to say its the main/only reason for it. Companies will take cheap labor any way possible.
That being said, the entire "I'm not racist/, but" angle smacks of politically correct self-loathing. If you're White and you have a racially based opinion, you're expected to let that phrase slip out. Otherwise its a given that someone is going to whine/accuse you of being racist, and you'll be in for it.
As for whether or not it actually is racist to tell everyone to go home, I would initially say "no."
Its separatist.
To be a racist means you hate everyone of another race. To be a separatist - like White or any other nationalists - means that you don't hate them, but just want them to leave you alone. Though a lot of racists have used the idea of separation to great effect, separatist ideas are not racist in themselves. Hope that explained it well enough for you.

People start a conversation with "I am not racist, but" because they know that speaking their opinion is going to come across as a racial slur. Because it does not matter what we say, someone is going to cry racism. I could say something like, "that looks like something you would see a black man wear." Then all of a sudden I am labeled as a racist.
As far as the work issue, affirmative action has made it to where even if you are fully qualified, if a female minority applies for the same job, she will get it before you because the company has to employ a certain number of blacks, Hispanics and females.
It angers me that someone would come on here and accuse people of being a racist because they speak their mind. You must be one of those narrow minded people that were raised and taught to throw around that word because it would get you ahead in life easier than working your butt off and earning your success.
C1981 - why raise the question at all. If you are not the one getting upset by what people say and you have become successful on your own, then why ask that people just admit they are racist? Just because someone makes a comment does not make them a racist. What is racism anyway? It is whatever the minority wants it to be. If they want it to be about Imus calling black girls names, then they call Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. If they want it to be about their brother getting shot by the police, then they call Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. Who is around to stand up for the Duke Lacrosse players when a black girl, who had Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton behind her, falsely accused them of rape? Where is her appology? Where are the appologies from Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson? We will never see an apology from, because in their eyes, they have done nothing wrong, but from their eyes, the white man is always guilty before they are proven innocent.

Because they are not 'racist'.
They would probably say "I love all the races of the world. I love the Nigerians in Nigeria, I love the Albanians in Albania, etc."
It's not that they hate these people per se, it's just that when a country is already overloaded it's hard to justify the influx of other countries citizens - whether they have just arrived or can trace their roots back centuries. And the apparent favouritism of government funds towards such 'foreigners'.

If people are saying this then I agree it's wrong, but the thing that I don't like is when you express genuine concern over the way your country is heading , and have people tell you that you are racist for you beliefs and views.
I have had this levelled at me and my closest friends are from Germany and South Africa and live in this country, I find this the height of ignorance, this is wrong and is happening alot on this site :)

maybe its because every time people get a bit peeved that asylum seekers get bumped to the top of the housing / benefits / healthcare waiting list they get branded as racist, yet the hip-hop crew are allowed to rap hardcore about killing white people and policemen and Abu Hookza is allowed to stand at Finsbury Park and preach about what infidels we are and how we will all be wiped out and that isnt deemed as racist. Maybe its actions like this from the government that are subconsciously breeding racism?
