1) Why did God create Earth?
2) Why did God the Almighty and All-Powerful need to rest on the 7th day?
3) Why did Adam listen to Eve and ate a fruit from the tree of knowledge?

Well. I was inspired to make this because Atheists immediately thought that I was targetting them on my other question, and thought I was Christian.

1. God created Earth to give evidence that He is real.
2. He rested on the 7th day to set an example to us to stop one day a week and rest and give honor to Him.
3. She was a woman and you know how they can persuade a man. No, really, he was just as anxious as Eve to be like God.

1. God is love personified and it is a function of love to create things to be loved.

2. The rest on the 7th day bit was simply a nifty excuse for allowing humans to take a break in the unending work of living. It had nothing to do with His need and everything to do with ours. Also, the whole 7 days of creation story is allegorical, NOT intended for literal interpretation.

3. The Adam and Eve tale is a lovely thing which has NO relation to actual biological facts. But it DOES point out a central truth, ie, do it God's way and you'll never come acropper. Do it your way and you'll sc**w it up every time.

Hope this helped.

God created the earth and all that is on it including us for his power and his Glory.

God as far as I can study, does not need to rest, the rest that he did was to be as an example to us, or it could also mean that he sat back and admired his creation. Either way, its an awesome thing for little old me to look at all his creation.

Adam listened to Eve because he wanted to, much the same reason we still sin to this very day.

None of the questions or answers have anything to do with salvation and should only be considered parlor talk. But here we are in your parlor so here goes.

God created the world so his children would have a place to live and prosper, and be tested. Why do children grow up and leave the house?

God did not need to rest on the seventh day. He chose to as an example to us.

Adam didnt listen to Eve. he listened to God who told him to be fruitful and multiply. He knew that Eve was about to be tossed and wanted to be with her.

Simple enough? God said be like him. He wouldnt have said it if it wasnt possible. That being said God is very much like us. Simple yet complex. Easy to understand but an enigma none the less.

I believe:

1. God created the Earth so that WE, His Spirit children, would have a place to come to get the gift of our Physical body and a place for us to be tested...

2. God did not NEED to rest.. He did so as an example to us.. for us to have a day to rest and to rebuild our bodies and our minds...

3. Adam knew that as an immortal (which state both he and Eve were in before the sin) they could not have children.. so he CHOSE to sin so that they could fulfill the other commandment.. to populate the Earth.

1) For his own glory.
2) He didn't "need" to rest. The narrative establishes a pattern for man to follow.
3) It was sacrificial. He knew the consequences but also knew he would take the blame. [note] Eve is never mentioned in the Bible as the cause of the Fall. Only Adam.

1.. He sent Satan to earth, knowing that the lesser (humans) would be able to have control on how much power Satan would have.

2. The day of rest is for us! We work all week and He wanted us to take at least 1 day where all day long, as individuals or a family, that we acknowledged where our blessings come from.

He was not in control of his family. No matter what or who says anything... If you go the opposite of God, there are consequences!

I could give you the standard answers, but I know you want more than that.
Like I said on your other question, we all have question we just can't answer ~ we take it on faith.

There is faith that the big bang occured and there is faith that with a sweep of His hand, God created the planet.

I do have an answer to the final question.
The part of the story that seems to be missed is that Adam *was with Eve* when the serpant was tempting her. He listened to the same arguement that Eve did. Then NOTHING happened after Eve took a bite (isn't that nice that he let her take the first bite) so he said, "Cool, let me have some of that." and THEN they realized they were naked.

(Genesis 3)

God created the universe as an expression of His infinite love.

God did not need to rest on the 7th day. He completed it on six days (not actual 24 hours earrth rotation days, actually) and on the seventh day He blessed it and saw that it was good. Everyebody does this when you complete something, you admire it and rejoice in its making.

Adam listened to Eve because like Eve, wanted to know the science of right and wrong and be like God, as promised by the serpent (another allegory, not actually litteral you know. This refers more to the fallen state of man and his original state of union with the divine, now lost because of our judgements, of pride: the origin of all sins and conflicts in man)

Sure. I can answer these questions... AGAIN.

1) To provide a platform for mankind. And He created Man to repopulate Heaven.
2) It was more like the musical 'rest' in a composition. A pause. It was also an example set for us to follow.
3) Perhaps he did it out of love. Given a choice of watching his lover die, and having to hear about his failure from both the serpent AND from God, he might have chosen instead to die with her. Much like Romeo and Juliet.
